An intro to the DC Historical Society map collection and the MapStory Warper

In 2014 the Historical Society of Washington, D.C., will be working with MapStory to digitize and warp some of their collection, using the newly launched MapStory warper.

If you’re in the DC area, join us for an informal introduction to the warper tool and an open discussion about how the Historical Society’s holdings can support citizens in composing histories about the D.C. area. Participants will also get an in-depth tour of the Society’s collections (including lots of maps!).

Bring a laptop if you have one.

Also RSVP via email at [masked] by 4pm Friday.

Join or login to comment.

Excellent technical presentation and discussion. The exchanges were thoughtful and friendly. Participants were knowledgeable and raised about as many issues and possibilities as I could imagine, and more.
