The purpose of our group is to get people together to learn and share information related to getting along in the great outdoors without a car or a radio or a barbecue grill. "Survival" means a lot of things to a lot of people and we'd love to hear your ideas on the topic. In the beginning we will probably get together infrequently, mostly for 2 or 3 night trips; the more people get involved, the more opportunities we'll have to meet up to talk and then go out to practice!

Imagine hiking into the woods with only a small day pack with gear, sleeping in a shelter that you built without tools, cooking food over a fire that you started from twigs, and leaving in the morning with only a few footprints to indicate anyone was ever there.  If you've ever wished you could leave the world behind and just head off into the woods, this is the group for you!
