A no-frills no-distractions open table board game event held in Minneapolis for dedicated and focused board game players. The Minneapolis Board Game Marathon is scheduled 10 times a year and held on the second two-day weekend of almost every month.

The games played at this event consist of designer games, European-style board games, card games, American-style board games, and war games. Miniatures and role playing games have not made an appearance.

The first event was held November 2007 and there were 29 participants.  Recent events have drawn per weekend on average 80 unique participants and 165 turnstyle participants.

First time attendees! This is an open gaming event.  Games are generally not formally scheduled, although some people sometimes organize times for playing bigger/longer games on any given event's discussion thread.  Most people just show up and find a group of like-minded gamers to play with.  If you want to play your own games, bring them along! When you show up and pay the event fee, you can find others to play with. Introduce yourself and your gaming preferences and it won't take long to make some friends and get into a game.

Registration for the events listed below opens two weeks before the Saturday event date.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
