Meditation Flash Mob + Picnic in Regent's Park

An initiative to promote peace, harmony and unity between all human beings. Bringing people together of all backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures through meditation, we believe that it is possible to inspire and motivate for a positive change.

We come together to celebrate our very real capacity to generate peace, already, in the here and now. This is the peace we offer to our cities and to the world.

After the meditation, you are invited to stay on for a picnic and enjoy the company of friends and new friends. Please bring some food and drink to share, picnic utensils, blankets, games and musical instruments!

When: Sunday 21st July 2013 1pm to 1:40pm (meditation)

Where: Regents Park at the London Mosque end. Use the Mosque as your landmark, as its minaret is visible from almost anywhere else in the park.

Directions: Enter the Park via Hanover Gate, turn left and you are there. You will see a children’s play area. The chosen spot is the whole of this semicircular area of grass.

Nearest tube: St Johns Wood and Baker Street

What: The meditation will take place for 40 minutes and the sounding of the bell will mark the start and end. For those new to meditation, you may like to try observing your breath, and follow it in and out if you can. You can say in you mind:

"Breathing in, I am aware of my in breath.
Breathing out, I am aware of my out breath."

Then afterwards, feel free to join us for a picnic for however long you wish.

For: This is an event open and free to everyone, of all ages, from every path, backgrounds, cultures, faiths, political stance and experience levels. Even if you have yet to try meditation, please come and sit peacefully. Your presence adds to the experience and the more people who come together across the world with positive intention, the more powerful the impact on ourselves and the planet.
