March 6th MedTech Thursday in Toronto co-sponsored by Ontario Brain Institute

Details
Please join CIMTEC and co-sponsor, Ontario Brain Institute (OBI) on March 6 for MedTech Thursday in Toronto - NEW LOCATION: Quinn's Steakhouse & Irish Bar (http://quinnssteakhouse.com/), 96 Richmond Street West from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
The evening will feature the same opportunity for casual networking with others working in the medical device development space, plus short demonstrations from the following representatives of three OBI-supported companies:
• Ron Gonzalez from Avertus Epilepsy Technologies (http://avertus.ca/) - The Avertus SMART Headset (Seizure Monitoring at the Right Time) is a patient focused, point-of-care monitoring and detection system. Worn during the day or just at night during sleep, the SMART Headset represents safety, response when needed, and peace-of-mind. For drug companies and treating physicians, the SMART Headset will provide an objective measure of seizure occurrence to assess drug efficacy.
• Jamie Tremaine from GestSure Technologies (http://gestsure.com/#advancing-how-surgeons-interact-with-their-imaging) - The GestSure system uses advanced sensors that allow the surgeon to access their imagery through simple hand gestures. From their operating table position, the surgeon employs a simple set of gestural commands that allows them to do anything they would with a conventional mouse.
Dan Hosseinzadeh from PathCore Inc. (http://www.pathcore.ca/) - PathCore is a scanner agnostic digital pathology software company. We provide a universal image management platform that supports many types of whole slide image (WSI) formats and metadata.
Sincerely,
