Topic Timeline -- Javascript API Client

Here is a simple application using the Javascript API. Using the client, the code queries to find the most popular topics and build a list of tags. Then, clicking on a topic runs a query to get the groups associated with that topic, and creates an animation on the map so that you can see how the number of groups has grown over time.

You can download the Meetup Javascript client code here and check out the sample code for this demo here.

Click on a topic and watch it grow.

City/Topic Heatmap -- Python API Client

Here is a simple example application using the API. This python script will use API queries to find the top cities, the most popular topics, and create a matrix where the brightness of the color in each cell represents the strength of the relationship between each city/topic pair, plus some javascript to add mouseover context information. The code used to generate this output can be found here.
