Welcome Helpers and Helpees...

There seems to be a need for people helping people... I mean "Meetup People"! There are already several wonderful Meetup groups that offer help to charities etc. People volunteer their time to help people in need, without ever really getting the chance to see the outcome of their good deeds, so this site is different.

This Meetup group is a place where you can find people to help you, or find people who need your help. In this day and age when there are so many talented people out of work, this site will be a way to assist helpees find helpers, and helpers to find helpees. Offering money or bartering for tasks is optional...

Please join if you:
* enjoy volunteering
* have a talent/job skill etc. that you want to share
* occasionally need help with chores etc...

If you need help with tasks- Writing a resume, cleaning a basement, rearranging furniture, installing an air conditioner, weeding the garden, changing a tire, etc. you may want to post a "please help me" ad!
To post your ad, please email me:
* What the task involves
* The date/time that you need help
* Location of where task is to be completed
* Your name and phone number
* How many people needed
* Note if you are willing to pay or barter for services
* any other information necessary

Or, if you have a talent, job skill, etc that is likely to be of some assistance to a fellow Meetup member, you may want to post a "here's how I can help" ad!

Of course there are rules:
1. let's keep this site "clean": no sexually oriented ads, nothing illegal etc...
2. nothing that involves people under 18, babysitting etc...
2. this is not a resume posting site... it's a place to ask for or offer help for everyday people
3. as the Organizer I am not responsible for the actions of people that you agree to work with through this site. As adults it is your responsibility to be wise and be safe.
4. No charity organizations, fund raisers etc. will be allowed to post ads... this is Meetup People Helping Meetup People!
5. Although I am not a control freak, I reserve the right to edit or refuse any ads

The software is not necessarily set-up for this type of group so I am not sure how this will all unfold... but I will give it a try and I'll work the kinks out as we go.
