MetroDC Flash Game Developers is here for multiple reasons, but the one reason that brings the flash community together is game development.

What is Game Development? Most people automatically think that Game Development pertains to programmers and people who write the logic for the game it's self. This could not be farther from the truth; People would also think the same for Game Design. When you design a game you are infact designing the interaction of the player with the computer or with other players. How those players interact with one another. When you are developing, you are making it all come together. Design, Implementation, Testing, and Release.

You are creating a new source of entertainment by bringing joy into a players life.

The power of flash rivals the technology of the n64. Almost a decade old the system for it's time put out some beautiful hits. GoldenEye, Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, Mario 64. Not all the games were created for the first time on n64, but the players experience was improved immensely with the new controller design which managed to introduce a new element in to the game play. The rebirth of the Joy-Stick in a game controller.

Flash is now the next-gen platform for delivering gaming content online. Not only that it is one of the easiest languages to learn and even easier to develop with. Join us and see what happens!
