Microservices Hackathon #2!

Details
We had a blast last time building a working MUD in four different languages in the space of 7 hours - see http://combomicroservices.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/microservices-hackathon-july-2014.html .
So once again, let's get together and try building a microservices application (we'll decide what it should be on the day). We'll try to complete it and release it as open source - but more importantly, learn about different approaches to building software in new ways. You will need a laptop, proficiency in at least one programming language (sadly, not suitable for coding newbies), and ideas about what to build! Experience with microservices is emphatically /not/ required - if you'd like some background, start with Squirrel's microservices notes page http://douglassquirrel.com/microservices/ which has lots of pointers to relevant information and experience reports.
Apologies that an event conflict meant I had to move back a week from the originally planned day - hope most of those who want to can still attend!
