This group is for Maryland (or anyone who doesn't mind driving) based Urban Explorers. We are people who like to go out in cities and sometimes rural settings and photograph abandoned or dilapidated buildings. We appreciate the history behind each of these buildings no matter how common they seem to most people. Often we find ourselves waking up at the crack of dawn to go road trip wherever necessary it is to go find these types of places. The experience often includes long walks or hikes and sometimes hopping the occasional fence if it means getting the shot we want. Most of our members are in 20s or 30s age range and come from many different backgrounds. We are based in Baltimore but have members from Southern Md, Virginia, Pa, and all over the place. Since we cover a lot of ground (usually the Mid-East Coast) we decided to expand our name to include this entire Mid-Atlantic region. The two types of events we usually host are day trips out to abandoned or run down spots or night shoots (usually around Maryland or Pennsylvania). However we are up for just about anything. Many members are also into Railfanning, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Camping, Rock Climbing and other activities we feel helps us with our exploring.
