Announcing a new Meetup for Milwaukee Company of Gamers!

What: Learn Civilization the board game

When: Saturday, May 22,[masked]:00 PM

Private Address
Address will be sent to all "Yes" / "Maybe" RSVPs
MetroMilwaukee, WI

Come and learn how to play Sid Meier's Civilization: The Board Game with me! I recently acquired this board game and I really want to play it, but I need people to play with. Please note that this is not the old Civilization game that the PC Civilization game is based on. Rather, this is the board game based on the PC Civilization game.

If you're not familiar with the Civilization PC games here's a quick summary. You are the ultimate leader of your civilization and you have been tasked with guiding your civilization from the Stone Age to the Space Age. Along the way you will have to settle cities, direct research, get buildings and units created to further improve your civilization, engage in diplomacy and in warfare, and ultimately be the best civilization you can be.

While the boardgame doesn't do nearly that much (since it would be way too much to do. The PC game takes days to complete one full game) it still does plenty. The game can support up to 6 players, so I can only take the next 5 people who RSVP "Yes". But, like other similar single game sessions for this group I will make a wait list for those who sign up after the cutoff has been reached. If you RSVP "Maybe" then expect to be pushed out by those who say "Yes".

We will start Saturday morning at 10am and go until we finish the game, or we reach 10pm whichever comes first. Some snacks and drinks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. As for mealtime we will take a break and determine what to do at that time.

The day before the event I will email all those who have RSVP'd "Yes" with directions to my house.
