It’s that time of year again – holidays and gaming! Our calendar is full of plenty of opportunities.
In this edition we will cover:
- -Recent events (lost and found)
- -Upcoming events
- -Site changes (threads)
- -Communication settings
This past weekend we had a “New Member Welcome and Mixer Game-a-ton” and it was a blast. Pictures are here. http://www.milcog.com/photos/4756082/ We had 32 people attend and a good number of those attendees were indeed newer members. Welcome to all! Please come back again so we can keep things moving in the right direction! If you liked it place rate the meetup, and the group!
MilCoG provided subs, tacos, beans, cocktail wieners, popcorn, pizza, hot dogs, chili, chips, several cookie types, cupcakes and beer and soda. We also had kringle, peppermint treats, nuts, more pizza, more cupcakes, and other snack foods and drank lots of more beer and more soda. Thanks to everyone who brought something! A special thanks to those who took the time to make something themselves for the group; BRETT for his Salty Chocolate Balls, STEVE for the Oatmeal Raison Cookies, and CARRIE for the Pecan/Chocolate/Pretzel things. Taking the time to make something special is a really cool thing to do!
We played a decent amount of games; Cargo Noir, Power Grid, Robo Rally, Small World, Settlers of Catan, Kingdom Builder, Eminent Domain, Cosmic Encounter, Quarriors(x2), Kingsburg & expansion, Gate of Loyang, Dice Town, Race for the Galaxy, Pandemic, King of Tokyo, Pit, 7 Wonders, Shadow Hunters, Qwirkle, and of course several rounds of Werewolf. There was more laughter at this event than I’ve heard in 5 months!
There were two games left here after the Game-a-ton. Email me to claim them.
Dec 10th – Road trip to Menasha
Dec 11th – Holiday Meetup at Games Universe
Dec 16th- Nerdvana Con III
*Don’t forget MidWinter Gaming Convention is in January! To get the 50% off registration rate you must register and RSVP by Jan 1st!*
I’ve expanded the message boards to include specific boards for board games, rpgs, games to trade or for sale, and events.
Don’t forget you can control how much email you get from MilCoG by going to your Meetup setting page and selecting what you want to hear about and what you never want to hear about.
January will be a little sparse due to MidWinter so get gaming!
