September events

Good morning everyone.

We've a busy fall season planned here at Milford Photo and hope to see you in September.

Right out of the gate is our Madison light painting event on the 4th.

On Friday and Saturday the 7th and 8th we're hosting KEH camera brokers who'll be up the street at the Milford Center for the Arts ( buying camera gear from 9am to 4pm both days. This should be a great opportunity to meet with a representative from one of the largest camera brokerage firms in the world and move some gear you're not using anymore. Please only stuff in clean, working order film or digital over 5 meg only: no polaroid, movie or video gear. Visit the store website for more details shortly.

Sony owners don't miss either Phil's NEX class on the 13th or a Sony taught class on the ALPHA cameras on the 27th.

Beginning DSLR on the 19th is followed by Harold's Composition class on the 20th.

There are still spaces in the day long Tamron Nature class workshop event on Saturday the 22nd.

The rescheduled handheld meter demo will be Saturday the 29th here at the store 10am.

Look for one or maybe two other shoots sometime in the month. Gotta clear these nights with my wife Amy who, I am happy to say, has agreed to return as Guy Fawkes this year. Look for that event in early November.

I know some of you have wanted a foliage event and we will post something when we have a better handle on peak times, which should be around the 3rd week of October. I'd expect another Yale event sometime in early November.

The free, public events are our way of getting out and shooting, building our own portfolios and just enjoying the camaraderie of the event. If you have a question about your camera or what we're doing don't hesitate to ask, but we suggest you get us early before the shoot gets going so we're more focused and less distracted. I've seen a great amount of peer interaction and help: thanks to everyone for your attention.

We appreciate too the blogs and feedback left. Thanks for taking the time and your kind words. Jess & Phil
