Bill O'Reilly Proves the Existence of God!

On Thursday's (1/6/11) The Colbert Report Stephen Colbert featured a recent segment on The O'Reilly Factor where Bill O'Reilly debated David Silverman, president of The American Atheist Association about the existence of God. O'Reilly said that he knows God exists because "the tide comes in, the tide goes out" and "that cannot be explained". After showing that clip along with a number of other clips showing O'Reilly's "unique" logic, Neil deGrasse Tyson appeared to kindly explain the real cause of changing tides:

I could see Bill using the tides as a bad example in the heat of an argument if he was flustered; however he's used that same argument many times on many other shows, which means he's either incredibly stupid or he systematically rejects ALL scientific evidence to perpetuate his delusion, which makes him incredibly stupid.

Aren't the tides controlled by the gravitational pull of the moon?

LOL Kneel before Neal!!
You should watch the atheist experience by the ACA. They did an excerpt of Bill O'Reilly of his "tide comes in"

Nick: What is this "gravitational pull" nonsense you're talking about? Don't you know that every natural phenomenon can simply be answered with "God did it". wink

Joel: Thanks for the link!
