Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG - Long Arm of the Hutt: Part 2!

Star Wars: Edge of the Empire is the new RPG from Fantasy Flight games. It takes place around the time of The Empire Strikes Back and uses an interesting dice mechanic that removes much of the number crunching typical of other RPG games.

It is very much a game you can join up and play. If any new people want to join we have pre-generated characters available to play and try out without any prior knowledge.

You can read more about the game at:

In our previous episode, the crime lord Teemo the Hutt was hot on the tail of the party, sending bounty hunters to shoot them down in space. The game featured crashing speeder bikes, giant Rancor-like monsters that the party wanted to poke at, wasteland ambushes, and a bloody Cantina shootout resulting in many deaths of freedom-loving Twi'lek armed only with rocks.

Now the party will need to venture to Genosis and hope they don't "bug" out at a well-to-do Genosian soiree.

Wanted to mention: I found the spot that mentions using melee weapons and it is TWO difficulty. Also, I'll be bringing a replacement Bounty Hunter, like we talked about at the end.

I'll show you tomorrow, but basically, I was reading the ranged chart they have. They don't have a melee chart, because in one of the paragraphs just before is a single sentence that states melee combat is ALWAYS two difficulty. What threw me was the first box in the ranged difficulty, which says something about 1+ weapon type when engaged. Well, I don't see why they would ever need to put that when they spell out the two ranged weapon types directly under that.
