Introductions 7PM
This is a social group. Let's get to know each other.
Topic 1: We Don't Need No Stinking Topic!
Perhaps not in January, but what about the rest of the year? Let's break down which of our suggested topics sound most interesting to the group, and assign them to people who will actually make them happen.
We also should cross-pollinate with other local groups.
Please start the discussion right now at this group's forum (https://www.meetup.com/mn-php/messages/boards/forum/4926932).
Topic 2: MidWestPHP fundraising
We'll take a minute to collect your Free Will donation to help make MNPHP a recognized sponsor of the MidwestPHP conference (http://www.midwestphp.com/index.php?module=default&controller=sponsor&view=list). Bring cash or a check, ain't nobody going to take your credit card.
Topic 3: Editor Shootout
We all know our own favorite tool is teh most awesome.
Your job is to show us what makes yours even better.
Please bring your fave, and be prepared to show us the one killer feature that makes it better than the others.
Topic 4: Code Mockery
We've all written a little bit of bad code, and seen a lot more from our colleagues. Please bring a snippet you'd like to show off as being really bad, and we'll pick it apart.
For the very, very bold: bring a snippet you're extremely proud of, and we'll tell you what could have been better about it.
For expediency's sake, please set up a gist if you can and send to Daniel.

Presentation 7:30ish
"Architecting PHP applications for testability" by MaxwellVandervelde
A technical overview on how to architect your PHP code with test-ability in mind.
Let's talk about MVC, class structure, separation of concerns, how it all interacts with unit tests, and how to identify problems!
Maxwell thinks this would be a good follow-up to the October meetup, which talked about unit testing.
Post-Party
at Sports Page til whenever. Remember, if you talk about tech stuff at the bar, it counts as a business expense*
[*I have no idea if this is actually true]
