This is a free 60-90 minute fitness class held every Saturday morning starting a 9am. The format is a fitness course I have developed that will be marketed this year by my company, Module Fitness. It is called "Triple Seven Workout", where three 7-minute workout modules are randomly chosen in a single workout session. For more information about me, you can check out my Team Beachbody coaching site at http://www.ModuleFitness.com and my blog at http://jaspersilvis.wordpress.com.
These modules cover strength, flexibility, core, stamina, and endurance. All but one module requires just your body weight. The other uses exercise resistance bands. You do not need to bring anything but comfortable clothing and shoes.
Location is at the fellowship hall of my church. Address is posted with the meetup.
All fitness levels and ages welcome. I sometimes bring my 5-year-old son and I also have trained seniors over 90.
You go at your own pace. Each exercise has a moderate, intermediate, and advanced option or position so you can decide how hard you want to work.
I am a self defense instructor as well, so some of these exercises are geared towards proper alignment with strikes - FUN!
We have been meeting for over a year and just decided in March 2009 to add this to Meetup. Looking forward to seeing more people attend.
I also provide free lifestyle fitness coaching to students. I recently helped a 50+ man who had a goal of running an 8-minute mile. He came to me with a 10+ minute time and could hardly run two laps around the track, let alone the 4 required for a full mile. Within 3 months, his time was 8:23. Within 6 months after starting, he broke 8 minutes! I love seeing people exceed their expectations.
Cheers to your fitness!
This is a recurring training class. See the group description for more information.
