Flathead Valley Geospatial Meetup

This group was started to bring together geospatial professionals and enthusiasts in the Flathead Valley, including those working in GIS, developing spatial analyses and/or focusing on cartography. We also welcome any developers building mobile apps that are geo-enabled or people working with web-based map applications.

Our first meeting of the Flathead Valley GIS Meetup will be hosted at Plum Creek, 500 12th Ave West, Columbia Falls, MT 59912.

We have brief introductions followed by two brief (10-15 minutes) talks. The remainder of our time will be used to get to know each other and talk about the future success of our regional sub-group. Presenters are:

• Selita Ammondt (River Design Group, Inc) - Utilization of LiDAR data in hydrologic applications.

• Ryan Dalton (Plum Creek) - Editing OpenStreetMap data on the web.

Since this is an “after hours” meeting, the Plum Creek office front door will be locked after 5:00p. Ryan will plan to be at the front door from 5:45 – 6:00pm to let guests in. If you arrive late (and the doors are locked), please call his cell phone at 206-940-8255 so he can let you in.
