Beginner's Lecture (~25k-15k)

This is going to be my second lecture aimed at beginning players. Due to limited space I require that you send me an email with your RSVP. Badukboris@gmail.com, I will then give you the address.

Same as last time, its:

$8.00 regular fee, and $5.00 for students.

Last time we covered some basic ideas of go, this time we will be going more in depth with opening.

There will be much less of the "philosophizing from last time" In fact I will do my philosophizing now, so as to get it out of my system.

-Most things I say might be contradicted in games as you get stronger. Few, if any, things in go (and life) are absolute.

-You will not get stronger at go going to my lessons alone, you must study life death and of course play.

-Power in Go come from your ability to read. Understanding the game without being able to read will cause trouble.

-Every stone wants to do something. Let it do it!

-As in life, in go we have a limited number of moves, it makes no sense to waste them playing things that don't do anything.
