Ride call for Barton Creek Green Belt.

Ride will include many back country trails of varied difficulty from green circles to black diamonds. Participants should be aware that there will be significant drops, step-ups, and rock gardens to negotiate.

Pace will be slow on the climbs, moderate on the flats, and brisk on anything going downhill (riding my Nomad all-mountain).

Distance will be from 15-30 miles depending on how many miles we can cover before dusk settles in. Bring lights just in case we end up on a long-distance epic (though feel free to bail out to beat the sunset if needed).

Thus ride may be 4-5 hours in duration.

Ride is self-drop. Please read this before RSVPing: http://www.austinbike.com/blog/278-the-etiquette-of-group-rides

Helmet, plenty of hydration, a well-tuned mountain-bike, and stuff to keep it running are what you are required to bring.

Meeting for post-ride vittles, location TBD.
