Walnut Creek Trail Work Day and.......
Hosted by Austin Ridge Riders Mountain Bike Club
Details
Due to damage from heavy rains, trail work days are being held every Wednesday in November. More details about what areas will be addressed on this date will be posted as this event approaches.
Bring shovels, gloves, etc. Plan on getting your feet wet. If you get to the truck late, grab a tool and bucket and meet us at the Root Drop. Bring your lights. With several head lamps and lights we are still able to get work done efficiently and safely.
Questions: contact rich at szecsy1@sbcglobal.net or 214-202-1379
AFTER this event:
What: Night riding Q&A presented by Bicycle Sport Shop with Lights in Motion and Niterider with Serfas demo lights.
Where: Walnut Creek Pool Parking lot
When: Wednesday, November 20th from 7:00PM to 8:30PM
What to expect: Austin Ridge Riders (ARR) along with Pat Reed (Bicycle Sport Shop) will give a presentation about riding with lights at night on the trails. Whether you are new to night riding or experienced, this is a great opportunity to learn about helmet mounts, bar mounts, difference in brightness (lumens), the right combination of lights, battery life, etc. Come on out and ask questions, and have them answered by the experts. There will samples of Lights in Motion and Niterider to look at, as well as demo lights to try on the trail provided by Serfas. This educational program starts right after a Walnut Creek workday that will run from 5:30PM to 7:00PM. So come on out and do some trail work first, then stop by the tent to hear all about night riding.
