This is not a ride for beginners or even budding intermediates. The terrain is rocky, dangerous, difficult. This is a drop ride meaning that if you are unable to keep pace, you may be left behind. If you are left behind, there really is only one well established trail, so you should be able to find your way out.
This week it's the Barton Creek Greenbelt dropping in at Travis Country. Be prepared for some more rocky insanity.
Helmet, hydration, a well tuned bike suitable for the backcountry, stuff to fix it with, as well as a good attitude are required.
If the well-tuned part of the mtn bike isn't working for you, take it to Steve at Texas Cycle Werks and he will fix it.
