A.K.A. Doc Pomus "Westchester Jewish Film Festival 2013"
Doc Pomus, a Jewish kid from Brooklyn, was one of the most successful songwriters of all time, publishing hundreds of hits (“Save the Last Dance for Me,” “This Magic Moment,” “Viva Las Vegas”) from the blues clubs of Harlem to the explosion of rock and roll. Though confined to crutches and a wheelchair, he lived a rich, eventful life. Featuring collaborators and friends from Lou Reed to B. B. King, this documentary celebrates the generous spirit and storied career of a musical legend.

Meet me at the membership desk before the film. The membership desk is to the left as you come in the front door by the staircase. If you can't find it please ask a staff member where it is. We are a meet up group that meets at the Burns, not part of the Burns. Be early, 30 minutes is suggested. This will be a sell out event and crowded. We will not be able to sit together but let's meet before the film and afterwards socialize at the reception.
You must purchase your tickets ahead of time. I already have mine.
