Cinema Nova Box Office
380 Lygon St Carlton

The Cinema Nova seems to be agreeable to most (we've also tried the Kino in the CBD - Collins st, but it has only 4 - not 11 - screens and nothing like the "buzz" of Carlton as a venue). This is a reasonably central location and at a good price on a Monday ($8 special).... so we'll stick with that for the time being. But if anyone has any suggestions for any alternative cinema locations around town, do bring them up after our next film.

So, just to be clear.... we meet opposite the Nova Box office (there's a bunch of tables and chairs for the bar/cafe there) for a bit of a chat/introduction - and maybe read briefly through any review brochures for any films (these can be found on the counter adjacent to the box office).

To help find me - my mobile number is 0411 961 338 (live answer) and I will have (discreetly) a large-ish piece of paper with "MEETUP" texta-ed in capital letters (well large enough for you to see it, but not so big as to attract undue attention to it).

There are eleven movie screens and we'll check the starting times and "vote" on which film to see. (one that's starting within say 40 minutes or so). Afterwards, we'll find a nearby bar or cafe for a late night snack and to chat about the film and/or life in general. (it's probably a good idea to get at least a quick snack before the start of the film if you had lunch a fair while ago and are hungry).

If you're coming by car, there's an underground carpark Drummond st with free two hours and $3/hour thereafter. Here's a map of the location in

And here's a website to the Cinema Nova itself: http://www.cinemanova...
