Twin Peaks, Fire Walk With Me (Creatures of The Night)
Details
This movie brilliantly encapsulates the famous television series, to the extent that there really is no point watching the TV series, watch this instead! Whereas the TV series degenerated into a soap opera, the movie is an engrossing roller coaster, and contains all the elements that made the TV series a world wide phenomenon, and David Lynch a superstar. And yes, the famous theme tune is there. This is one of the world's most under-rated movies.

Synopsis:
The following from the HPPH website
The world knows who killed Laura Palmer but David Lynch’s prequel to his television saga elaborates on the enigma of psychic inferno and elemental conflict in an American north-west town with sequences “unthinkable on network TV.”
A year before events in the opening episode, hard-of-hearing Supervisor Gordon Cole (David Lynch) lends FBI assistance when a girl is murdered in Portland. The investigation leads to strange encounters, weird apparitions, significant clues. Special agent Dale Cooper predicts that Teresa Bank’s killer will strike again and the action jumps forward to the last week in Laura Palmer’s life, an accelerating spiral of drugs, sex and knowledge of evil, and wild events at ‘The Power and Glory’ an infamous nightspot on the Canadian border.
Well done, yet again Wendy Cook!
