This is a definite meetup

On 1st June - 8.40 PM From 30th May - 1st June

Starring:Holger Andersson, Nils Westblom, Viktor Gyllenberg Dir. Roy Andersson 100minsSE, DE2015

Synopsis: (HPPH Website)

Sam and Jonathan are two travelling salesmen peddling novelty items. Like modern-day Don Quixote and Sancho, they take us on a kaleidoscopic journey through multiple human destinies. By turns tragic, absurd, meditative and hilarious his work has drawn comparisons with Samuel Beckett, Monty Python, Ingmar Bergman and Laurel & Hardy, but in truth is utterly unique.

Critical reaction:

What an incredible film-maker Andersson is - he has created an entirely unique epic movie-cycle that has to be seen to be believed. ★★★★★

Peter Bradshaw, THE GUARDIAN (http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/apr/23/a-pigeon-sat-on-a-branch-reflecting-on-existence-review)

Each scene is composed like a painting, and frames a comedy as weird and wonderful as the film's title. ★★★★★

Kate Muir, THE TIMES (http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/arts/film/reviews/article4194486.ece)

One of the best films you'll see this year. ★★★★★

Robbie Collin, DAILY TELEGRAPH (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/film/a-pigeon-sat-on-a-branch-reflecting-on-existence/review/)

This is going to provoke some post first class movie discussion. However is does end quite late, I reckon it will end at 10:40pm. I will be going for a pint afterwards for certain.

This is exactly the kind of craziness this movie meetup is obliged to go see, AND it seems to be actually very good as well. Wow what a combination!

Valerie must attend by the way, that's an order!
