The NYC SharePoint Developers User Group meeting is TOMORROW, Wednesday, March 19th so if you haven't registered, register now!

Last month we looked a little bit at the Search Query Web Part with our branding discussion but this month we're going to do a Deep Dive into Search Web Parts, which are a real game changer in SharePoint 2013, so it should be a great session. Here's the details:

PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION:

Arguably the most significant improvement in SharePoint 2013 is its retooled Search architecture and improved search experience. The guts of Microsoft’s flagship enterprise platform have been enhanced to integrate best of breed search related technologies, but beyond that the collaboration framework has introduced a suite of new webparts that use the new architecture to create cutting edge front-end solutions driven by search.

This demo-oriented session will show you practical ways to leverage robust search in SharePoint 2013 to create user experiences that weren’t possible in earlier versions of the platform. The session will address: Content Search, Search Results, Refiners, and Configuring Search Queries.

Peter Yu is a SharePoint MCSE with experience implementing a wide range of SharePoint solutions for a number of Fortune 500 clients. He leads deployment and IT operations for BrightStarr’s US division. Darion D’Anjou holds multiple Microsoft certifications including MCSD Web Applications and SharePoint MCSE. With years of experience as a SharePoint Architect, he leads the consulting team at BrightStarr in the delivery of high end enterprise SharePoint solutions.
