Game Day at Your Mom's Basement (Sat., March 30th)

This Week:

The scheduled scenario for this week, #4-09 The Blakros Matrimony, HAS BEEN MOVED TO SATURDAY, APRIL 6 to accommodate International Tabletop Game Day on Saturday, March 30 where we will offer scenario #4-EX Day of the Demon. We will return to the originally scheduled event on April 6, 2013.

#1-33 Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible:

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1–2 and 4-5).

The Pathfinder Society sends you to the fabled Kingdom of the Impossible, the island of Jalmeray, to stop an Aspis Consortium black market relics dealer who is organizing the local bandits and violently robbing Jalmeray and Pathfinder Society caravans laden with relics, artifacts, and magical mysteries. When a venture-captain is murdered by the Aspis Consortium agent, it's up to the PCs to find him and do whatever it takes to stop him.

Written by Craig Shackleton.

#4-EX Day of the Demon: Tier 3-4: TWO (2) SEATS. Tier 6-7: TWO (2) SEATS

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 3–7.

The Blakros family, long an ally of the Pathfinder Society, has come into possession of a manor house in the imperial nation of Cheliax, where a once prominent noble family was known to practice diabolism before the Age of Lost Omens. The Pathfinders' task is simple: clear the abandoned manor of any remaining threats before the Blakroses move in. Unfortunately, the estate hasn't sat empty as long as the Blakroses think it has, and its recent inhabitants were anything but the devil-worshipers who originally built the manor.

"Day of the Demon" is an exclusive adventure to be run only by 4-star Pathfinder Society GMs, Venture-Captain and Venture-Lieutenant campaign volunteers, and Paizo staff for its first year.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day on Saturdays at the Your Mom's Basement in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 11:30), but the venue is open until 1 am for gaming, food, and congregation. GMs arrive an hour early for set-up and questions. While registration for events is not required, it is encouraged as registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (information regarding registration can be found below).

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

This Game Day at Your Mom's Basement is hosted by Ryan Blomquist (Venture-Captain).

Good table of players that worked well together and played off one another very well. Andy, as usual, did a fine job of running the scenario. And the scenario itself was did a great job of tying together several plots from previous scenarios and providing foreshadowing of what is yet to come.

I hate to sound pushy, nosey or impatient, but now that #4-EX Day of the Demon is full, could we know who's seated there and with what characters? I'm hoping I'm at that table. If so, I'm hoping to play Shackles (Half-Orc Barbarian 7).

I'm only a Maybe for Saturday at this point, so that might open up a seat for Day of the Demon for someone else. I should know for sure by the end of today if I have to cancel.

I do have to cancel. So, that should open up a slot for Day of the Demon if there's a need.

I can only play Day of the Demon if you can add a second table, otherwise, just kick me.

The low-level scenario will be 1-33 Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible (Tier 1-5).

    Quick update!

Jim Morrison has generously volunteered to take the reins of a 1-5 scenario as GM this weekend. Big thanks to him. We're ironing out which scenario it will be. Once that's settled I will add it to the schedule. It is in the works, though.

    Good Gaming!

Hey what's everyone have for levels & characters for Fortress of the Nail? PS bring your A game.

    March 25, 2013

  • Jack B.

At least it isn't an issue that I cannot attend, since I'll be playing Day of the Demon in the afternoon, and won't have a level 5 by then. :D

Though I really do want to play Fortress of the Nail. Eventually.

Dianna is signing up for day of demon level 7 Barbarian

Ryan, it appears you'll be running only one table of Day of the Demon, yes? It may be too soon to tell, but do you have an idea what tier that table might be?

    March 22, 2013

    • Ryan C. B.

We have space for two tables; I want to offer a Tier 1-5 scenario at this venue in addition to Day of the Demon because there is a considerable segment of the player population here who attend only this game day and are not yet able to play a 3-7 scenario.

      March 22, 2013

  • Gary S.

We will all play the other scenario then if possible. What adventure will it be?

    March 18, 2013

    • Ryan C. B.

That is up to the volunteer who is generous enough to step up to GM it.

    Hey guys,

I have moved our table of The Blakros Matrimony back to Saturday, April 6th. Instead, we are coordinating our event with Tower Games to offer Day of the Demon, an exclusive scenario that we are scheduling on International Tabletop Game Day.

In addition to Day of the Demon, I would like to schedule a Tier 1-2 scenario for anyone not yet eligible for Day of the Demon to play. If you are already playing Day of the Demon at Tower Games I strongly encourage you to help out by volunteering to GM here; the more GMs in the pool the less time each GM has to spend behind the screen. A Tier 1-2 is also a good way to learn the ropes of GMing; they're often designed for both players and GMs to learn from. Also, when considering waitlists the organizers do remember who our volunteers are and take that into account.

The Blakros Matrimony will return on Saturday, April 6 at 6:30 P.M. and I look forward to seeing you all.

    Good Gaming,
    Ryan B.
