Game Day at Village Games

2-01 Before the Dawn - Part 1: The Bloodcove Disguise

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 7th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 3–4, and 6–7).

GM: Erik Wilks

You are sent to Aspis Consortium-infested Bloodcove to gather supplies for a nearly doomed Pathfinder mission nearby. Disguised as ordinary merchants, you have little time to gather what you need and get out before the Consortium discovers and destroys you.

The Bloodcove Disguise is the first scenario in the two-part Before the Dawn campaign arc. Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-02: Before the Dawn—Part II: Rescue at Azlant Ridge is the sequel and will be run on 5/24/14 at Village Games.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled monthly Game Day scheduled for Village Games in Anoka, Minnesota scheduled for the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. The game will start promptly at 11:30 AM, will last until 5:00 PM and is limited to twelve seats. Registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (further information regarding registration can be found below).

This event does have an associated entry fee of $3.00 which includes entry to event and 3 copper tokens (a $3 value) which can be used same as cash for in store purchases.

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

    BTW Sarah and I would like to track what people have and have not played so we only present scenarios people the attend Village Games actually need.
    To that end here is a link to a google share drive. Feel free to add your name as a new colum and add the scenarios you have played.
    P= Played
    G= GM'ed
    B= Both

    Useful links
    outside of that here are some links for you .
    PFS Field Guide to Play
    http://paizo.com/products/btpy84k4
    Middle of the page there is a free download link for the field guide, This has all the rules on building your character and how society works. Please take a look if you have never played PFS before and build your character in advance. If you dont have time for that we have approved NPC you can run to see how things run in PFS (I highly encourage you to build your own. Its just more fun that way)

    Additional Resources:
    http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/about/additionalResources

    The above link has the various PFS book rulings as references in books are and are not allowed in PFS. (like no synthesis summoner. To broken)

    PFS FAQ
    http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1fq

    this contains some specific rulings in regards to Pathfinder and PFS. Good resource, but not really required when you are first starting off. Hope this helps.

    ok so we have some new players.. which is good. Love that. So in order to play you have to have the core rule book. Also, in order to play any character that is weird, say a gunslinger, you have to own the book that contains the rules for what you are running. So if you are using a weird trait out of the Cheliax region book, you have to be able to prove you own that book (watermarked PDFs count)

    I have neither played nor GM'd any PFS, although I am
    running Rise of the Runelords for my home group.

    what character story are we allowed to build before the campaign?

    April 30, 2014

    • Erik W.

      well depends what you mean by character story. This is pathfinder society so as long as you build the character within the society rules and factions you can give the character whatever story you want.
