Unfortunately, our scheduled speaker for March 8, Chris Biow, has had to drop out. Chris has broken his leg while skiing and won't be traveling for a while. But luckily a couple of the local boys have agreed to fill in.

Adam Retter and Charles Foster will be delivering talks based on the ones that each of them gave recently at XML Prague (http://www.xmlprague.cz/2012/index.html). Charles is a MUGL regular and Adam is well known in the XML and XQuery community (and likely to become a MUGL regular now that he's back in London).

Charles' talk will be on the topic of Building Bridges from Java to XQuery, which is about invoking XQuery functions from Java.

Adam's talk is on RESTful XQuery, about using XQuery 3.0 annotations in a manner similar to the way JAX-RS annotations are used in Java.

Both talks were well received in Prague and we're lucky to get an encore presentation here in London.

John Snelson and myself were also in Prague and hopefully we may have a little "trip report" discussion about the conference as well.

The venue this month is once again provided by the kind folks at Sapient, same place as in February. Food and beverage for pre-meeting mingle time provided by MarkLogic and booze-up at the pub afterward compliments of Mercator IT.

Following this meeting we will try to resume the every-other-month routine. The May meeting is scheduled for May 17. This will be about two weeks after the MarkLogic World conference, Apr 30-May 3, in Washington, DC. We have a very special guest lined up for the May meeting (now confirmed!), details forthcoming, you won't want to miss it.

At the Sapient venue we can accommodate more people, so I've raised the attendance limit to 35. Do please come along and do please remember to add yourself to the list if you plan to come.

See you all there.
