"This exhibition celebrates the 100th anniversary of The International Exhibition of Modern Industrial and Decorative Arts through Van Cleef & Arpels High Jewelry creations.
The Maison won a Grand Prize at the exhibition for its pieces which included the 1924 Entwined Flowers, Red and White Roses bracelet.
This event equally had a significant impact on the design and interior decoration of the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum. Both from the Patrimonial and private collections, the pieces on display, which consist of works of recognized historical value, pay tribute to the timelessness of Art Deco and the ingenuity of the Maison’s savoir-faire." "The exhibition takes its name from the Greek words kalos (beautiful) and eidos (form), symbolizing a dynamic and ever-changing journey through color, where beauty and creativity blend harmoniously. Nearly 350 chromatic masterpieces – including jewelry creations from the Bvlgari Heritage Collection and prestigious private collections, spanning from the origins to the present day – highlight the deep connection between Italy and Japan, celebrating their rich cultural legacy and shared passion for art and design. Adding further emotional depth, the exhibition also showcases works by three contemporary female artists – Lara Favaretto, Mariko Mori and Akiko Nakayama – who offer their personal reflections on color.
Bvlgari Kaleidos: Colors, Cultures and Crafts unfolds like a kaleidoscope of creative references and emotional experiences, blending High Jewelry, creations from the Bvlgari Heritage Collection, contemporary art, exclusive materials from the Bvlgari Historical Archives and immersive installations. Visitors will explore Bvlgari’s mastery of gemstones and precious metals on a multifaceted journey where videos, interactive spaces and artistic dialogues bring the Maison’s world of color to life." Tokyo Biennale 2025
Ueno Station, 7-1-1 Ueno, 台東区 Tokyo 110-0005, Tokyo, JPFor this meetup, we will walk around Tokyo by checking out Tokyo Biennale 2025.
"The Tokyo Biennale is a 'social dive' type of international art festival that we build together by diving into various areas across Tokyo to discover the unique traditions and characteristics inherent in the people who live there while creating new values.
The theme for this running of the biennale, 'Wander for Wonder,' describes our attempt to create a new form of 'wandering' that brings us together softly and gently as we focus on points like 'with whom' and 'where' we wander." [from the exhibition site]Location
