Actually am expecting to get to know more wine lovers, casual drinkers who enjoy trying new reasonably-priced wines and am always open to share the names of my favorites, and try wines that have become their favorites.
Probably somewhere between a casual "newbie" and "Lets do a road trip to another winery" with a mission of finding another great tasting wine!
We are really lucky to live in an area where our song artists venture into the wine arena to put their stamp on the map with some really good young wines, like Arrington Vinyards is doing.
Recently found Radnor Wines along I65 at Trousdale. A friend actually saw one of my favorite Cote Du Rhone there and picked us up a bottle. Since then, I've picked up several wines there that are sweetly reasonably-priced wines, varieties I haven't found elsewhere for my money.
Originally from Oregon-Washington, I found Nashville and immediately was delighted with longer, warmer summers. Chateau St Michelle winery in the Seattle area has become my favorite northwestern winery. Could add more, but this character needs.....
This was the first event I committed going to with this group, and I couldn't have been more disappointed in this meet ups' lack of participation. To have 63 people indicate they will be there and none show but three others besides us! I must have asked 15 people there if they were from the meetup. I did meet the three that did come, and met several more folks who weren't part of this meetup, because that is what I came to do. I won't however commit to any more of these meet ups suggestions and am disappointed in the groups lack of consistency. I will find my own entertainment, whole lots more fun.
