What organizations or people inspire you, and why?

I am inspired by individuals and groups who put their cause first either personally and or professionally. Farmers are inspirational because of their work ethic and can do spirit.

Would you like to share something with us?

In chicago we are blessed to have a community like the CCGT offers with expert speakers who engage and educate the public week in and week out. I am also amazed and the number of business and facilities that open their spaces to groups for education

What do you want to try?

A solar installation in Chicago/Wisconsin/Iowa/Indiana or Mexico/Central America/South America.

What about Natural Building interests you?

Back to basics with incredible results.

What do you want to learn?

Emerging practices and technologies. Along with best practices and principles of what we have and what we have forgotten.

Local construction professional by day for commercial and residential. My nights and weekends are spent on wood working projects and designing/fabricating/finishing custom products. Continuing education in sustainability/LEED/Green.

What Mark W. is saying about this Meetup Group

Like minded people discussing ways to raise chickens and have eggs in your own back yard, fresh and without using massive transportation across the country, who can beat that idea. On site composting, a green roof garden, solar powered ventilation, GREAT Ideas. Thanks to Alex and his team at Craftsmen Experience for the venue, live broadcast and production, thanks to the online community for all of their participation before and during the event, thanks to Chris W. for the idea and plans, thanks to the 30 plus people who attended, thanks to the 2 live chicken, thanks to for the help with the build. See you all at the next meetup event and look forward to footage of this broadcast in case you were not able to be their live. Until next time, Mark Wille
