Healthy Hair Care
Come and learn how to take care of your hair in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. This workshop has been designed for wearers of natural or processed hair. The day includes:
Presentation: “Caring for your Hair the Natural Way”
· Learn the basic anatomy of afro hair and how it behaves
· Find out which products cause problems for afro hair and how to avoid them
· Learn the basics of managing afro hair
· Group discussion
Quick Styles: Demonstration and practice on mannequins (provided) or on your own hair
· Curly Fro/twist out/braid out
· The Ultimate Afro Puff/bun
· Thread (style and stretch hair without blow drying),
· Bantu knots
· Define your curls (your chance to try a variety of hair gels to see which suits your hair type). If you would like to participate in this part of the workshop, please ensure your hair has been freshly washed. Keep one section of your hair free from any product (product use will prevent the gel from working properly on your hair)
