What's up with the 99ers....

Hi all-

I wanted to touch base with everyone and update you all as to what is going on currently and in the future with our group.  First I want to welcome all the new members.  I have met some of you and others I have yet to annoy (lol).  Either way welcome.  To all the veteran members, thanks to you for helping us to remain one of the largest most active non discriminate motorcycle groups in the area.  We have grown by leaps and bounds and it is because of your membership, input and participation that we continue to grow.

Recently you may have seen that there has been limited activity in the group.  I apologize for this.  My daughter became very ill recently and I spent most of my time tending to her needs.  Jim has also been quite busy with his business and things have been a bit lack luster because of our absence.  Darel has recently joined us in helping to organize the group and will continue to add to the rides and events that we host.  I also want to thank Walt and the Erie Road Riders for welcoming our members to join many of their events.

As we enter the "only the craziest among us will ride" season there may be less activity within the group.  We will, however, have a few events through the off season.  I am still hoping to have an end of the season bash (though as the time flies by it may well be an "I remember the season" bash).   I will have to see how quickly my family responsibilities allow me to put something together.  We will also have a handful of off season get togethers (like the Butch Armstrong one on the board).  As always, I welcome any ideas for events.  We also are always looking for members who want to help organize events.  If you have an idea for an event let me know.  I will help you get it set up and assist in any way I can.

During the off season I will be working on a handful of different group items.  By next season we should have membership cards that will afford active members a variety of benefits from our sponsors.  I am also working on new group patches and shirts that should be available within a few months.  Again, your input is welcome on these items as well.

Please don't forget to donate to the group.  It is these donations that keep the group running and help to fund the various events that we host.  There is no set amount for membership, just a simple donation of what ever you can.  If you like the group and find want it to keep growing simply approach one of the organizers at any event and flip us a few bucks.  We do not keep any of the money donated, it all goes into the group for everyone's benefit.  Thanks again to those of you that have donated this year.

I look forward to seeing you all soon.  Feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions or comments.
