Before we take a short break for the holidays, we would like to cordially invite you to a session focusing on digital excellence and digital access issues in the Chicago community. Agenda is currently being finalized, but areas of discussion will include

News and updates about DexCon, a late October conference focusing on digital literacy and digital excellence issues, Some great non-profit/tech initiatives, including the Chicago Broadband Challenge (http://www.chicagonow.com/one-cause-at-a-time/2012/09/building-better-communities-through-broadband/); and A strategy session with the Community Male Empowerment Project (http://www.cmeprojects.com) - if you missed our August meeting, you are more than welcome to attend. If you have an interest in social media and community organizing; technology and underserved populations, or if you want to join a group focused on larger-reaching issues around tech and social good, we cordially invite you to attend. Organizers:

Gordon Dymowski (http://www.gordondymowski.com/) has over ten years' experience in public health community mobilization, from working on tobacco control and clean air policy to working with chemical dependency and the homeless. Currently, Gordon has shifted to the corporate side, working as social media analyst/strategist and researcher. Gordon also has over fifteen years involvement in the online realm and blogs for a variety of outlets.

Vincent McCaskill is an IT Service Professional that consults small business and non-profits on practical and innovative ways to use technology. He also provides technology training services to the same.
