Website Redesign: Design For Your Audience

Raj Aggarwal, Founder of Provoc, will share best practices for website redesign with a focus on user experience.

In order to design a successful site from a UX perspective, we need to have a good understanding of what is trying to be accomplished through the site and what site users are looking for. We need to be asking two key questions:

1. What does the client want to get out of the site? (i.e. business objectives and organizational needs)

2. What do users want to get out of the site? (i.e. what are individual users’ needs and goals)

Having a clear understanding of the site objectives and user needs will allow us to make design choices that meet those needs.  We'll review methods on how to define both!

Ryan Ozimek, CEO of PICnet, will share best practices on website redesign with your internal staff in mind.

Design for websites is part creative, part function. In order to get the most mileage out of your new site, it's important to take into account the technology your team will be using to keep the site up-to-date and looking great into the future.

During his presentation, you'll learn about the key questions to ask your design team during the website redesign process that will avoid future headaches and make it easier for your site to look as fabulous in year 2 as it did on day 1.

Vajaah Parker, Front End Developer with Web Development Group, will talk about web redesign trends, identity and search engine optimization.

Whether you're transitioning from a starter package or revamping a colossal corporate website, the redesign process is both taxing and rewarding. Carving out a fresh online presence is no easy task in the world of ever evolving technologies and design trends.

With the need to capture and convert at the forefront, Web Development Group (WDG) became it's own client. Using WDG as a case study, we'll highlight the process of planning, developing, migrating, marketing and maintaining a "relaunched" site. We'll share the do's and don'ts that we learned as we put our workflow to the test.
