Speak out for Open Transit Data!

The RTA, the authority in charge of our buses and streetcars, will be considering opening their data to public at the next board meeting, this Tuesday January 24th. The board is considering the matter after 275 people signed a petition spearheaded by the advocacy group Transport for NOLA. If the RTA releases their data, local developers and designers will be able to create applications that make using public transportation more reliable, more enjoyable and more attractive. Come speak out in favor of Open Data! Every person who shows up will be a tremendous boon to the cause.
