Here's what Net2NO Next Tuesday Has on Tap (Have you RSVP'd?)

From: Adele T.

We're barely one week into 2013 and already there's a lot going on around town.

Our local tech community continues to grow with new faces, new companies and new ways to kick last year's a$$ when it comes to innovation.

If your resolutions include any of the following, than Tuesday's meetup is a must for you.

Have you resolved to make New Orleans an even better place? Then say hello to the CodeMkrs Super Challenge.

  • If you've got an idea that is sure to make life just a little bit better here in the Crescent City, then here's your chance to see it come to fruition, submit it here.
  • If you've resolved to code with your cohorts more this year, then here's your chance - register as an individual, with a team or even a company team!
  • If you're just the cheerleader type, or having something other than programming talent to offer, there's room for you to - volunteer here.

Big name judges, big time PR for the event and the top apps released just in time for the Super Bowl, all plus PRIZES - not bad.

It all happens Friday, January 11th through Sunday, January 13th. Be sure to be at the Net2NO meeting for more details; until then, you can visit CodeMkrs.com.

Is your resolution to find more time or make more money? ParadeTrade may be just what you need!

Meet local entrepreneur Kurt Anthony, the creator of the very first "social jobbing" site. Kurt will be on hand to tell you just how ParadeTrade is poised to help individuals, small businesses or anyone trying to find contractors as well as those looking to put their skills to work, right here in New Orleans.

Isn't it time someone wrote a story about all that YOU do? We think YES! This year, resolve to toot your own horn a little.

You rock, you know you do. But who else is aware of how awesome you are? Actually, we do, but it's hard to be in the right place all the time to tell your story. Thankfully, GNO Inc is looking to tell more of our success stories while broadening the spotlight on individuals in our community.

You're good enough, you're smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like you - now tell your tales of triumph.

Have you resolved to get funded? Two words: One Spark!
If you're idea goes beyond making New Orleans great, then maybe it's time to show it off to a wider audience; may we suggest a trip to Florida this Spring? Elton Rivas, founder of One Spark, will be on hand to present the details surrounding this upcoming crowdfunding festival designed for those looking to showcase their creativity. In just a few short months, consider taking a quick trip to Jacksonville for the what we think will be all the things "other" tech events are not. Did we mention the opportunity to pitch your idea and score actual funding?!?!!

Elton, a serial entrepreneur who has founded a successful co-working space in Jacksonville and had his hand in a number of start-ups, is flying in to share the evolution of One Spark from an idea to an event, and why this may be the jump start you need.

Have you resolved to to reconnect with old friends or to make new ones? Then you know what you need to do!

We can't wait to see you all Tuesday at our new location at 3715 Tchoupitoulas Street in New Orleans.
