November Notes & December Plans

Hi London Net Tuesday-ers

November Notes

A big thanks to all those who made it out last week for the November event, and a huge thanks as well to Rachael and Alison for their terrific presentations! I will circulate an article soon from Aba Maison, Net Tuesday member from LASA, who was at the event and turned her notes into an article in the Knowledgebase!

In the meantime, there are a few pictures up of the notes from the event. Two major take aways included:
- lots more tools to try out
- stakeholder mapping (list stakeholders and then identify what they want from you and what you want from them)

About the Presenters:

Alison Coward is the founder of Bracket, an agency that helps creative businesses collaborate effectively on projects using online tools. Rachael West runs creative workshops and facilitation sessions to develop business skills, lateral thinking and self-awareness. Rachael and Alison have both worked as project managers with social enterprises and in the public sector.

December Plans:

Our December event will be a chance for you to learn about a new campaigning tool and reflect on the year by sharing an update or brag about work you or your organizations did in 2009, as well as lessons or ideas from that experience with the group. team members will give a presentation on the new e-campaigning platform that's been developed this year by NCVO, SiteWriters and others. It is a free platform for individuals or groups to create and distribute campaigns, bringing together a range of social media and social action tools, from YouTube & Twitter, to e-Petitions and ?write to your MP? functionality. It has great potential for helping small and large organizations, and everyone in between. If you want to check it out before the presentation, visit:

We will then have an open platform for anyone to share about work they have done this year, or are planning for next year, things learned or developed, and so on. It's your chance to look back and share with the group!

Thanks to the folks at eOffice for hosting!

Date: 1 December
Time: 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Location: eOffice, 2 Sheraton Street, SoHo
RSVP: on the group here
