iOS Radio Hour with Daniel Jalkut and friends

This month, we're doing something fun and different at General Assembly.  Mac and iOS developer Daniel Jalkut will host a live podcast-style panel discussion with some very special guests, covering iOS and related topics du jour. Questions from "callers" in the audience will be encouraged.

Daniel's guests will be:
Marco Arment (@marcoarment)
Buzz Anderson (@buzz)
Amanda Wixted (@commanda)

The live recording and other links will be posted on the NY iOS Dev Vimeo page.

Daniel is the founder of Red Sweater Software, LLC, maker of amazing Mac software like MarsEdit and Black Ink.  He's also an Apple alum, indie developer poster child, master kibitzer, @danielpunkass on Twitter, and two-time dad.

Capacity is very limited this month, so please only RSVP if you're sure that you can and will attend.

It was good to get some insight into a day in the life of an iOS app entrepeneur/developer. However, I was not prepared to attend that kind of discussion. I expected the matters discussed would have been more technical in nature.

It's not usual to meet an all-star cast of developers. Last last you guys made it happen. As a fairly new iOS developer I greatly appreciated and learned from this meetup. Hopefully there could be some more of those in the future. Thanks again for an awesome time.

Good stuff, learnt a lot. I'm not from the iOS world myself, so it was some really great insider insight.

Great meetup last night. I've made some apps with a colleague and we opened a business to make them available:. We've had a professional designer to make the graphics for the Facedoku games, but the revenue has not been enough to even pay her :) I think advertisement is a big deal (the biggest) in the iOS world. Maybe that could be a topic of a future event. We're open to collaborations. Right now I'm updating the Lattice app to include MIDI communication.

I liked this format a lot, and would love to see more of it mixed up with the regular style meet up.

Sometimes you need to talk about the business of app development, and that time was last night. I can't tell you how many of my questions were answered without even having to ask them. I like the format and would be interested in similar panel discussions like this in the future. Thanks!

The Q&A session was particularly informative and interesting. Food would have been nice.

Hi Eddie. Yes, I'm working with Larry to record the event. I'll do my best to get it edited and posted as soon as possible.

This meetup is harder to get into than WWDC.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
