Monthly Seminar - Insurance FinTech Opportunities

NB. The RSVP's for this event are now closed but there will be tickets on the door at £15

Hi Everyone,

Our November monthly FinTech Seminar will focus on Opportunities in Insurance Technology. This will be our inaugural Insurance FinTech event; we plan to follow up with a roundtable event in late January to bring Insurers and Entrepreneurs together in a morning workshop session to explore the opportunities further.

Consumer and Investment Banking are currently the main focus of Entrepreneurial attention and subsequently a rich eco-system is building up around Innovating in these areas. However Insurance is also a prime market for Innovation, the protection, investment and pensions gaps in the UK population alone are in the £trillions (seriously). Much of the technology being applied to Banking will translate to Insurance; and Cloud, Big Data and Analytics are likely to change the face of Insurance forever. This seminar will explore the latest themes and developments, the key players and their offerings.

Here's a recent and very interesting Global Insurance Digital Survey by EY, well worth reading before the Seminar

The session includes a FREE Guide to Insurance Technology which digs deeper into the main players and identifies opportunities for FinTech Entrepreneurs. All of our FREE seminar guides are available to download here.

We'll be videoing the session as usual for those of you who are unable to attend. You may click here to watch the videos from our previous seminars and here to see the photos.

    Hi all

Firstly thanks to Eddie and Marc for last night, definitely one of the most useful Meetups I’ve been to.

I hope you all enjoyed Richard’s presentation on Vitality. A few people asked me for more info and details of how to join, so I thought I’d send this around:

If you’d like to join or know someone who would, email me on [masked] and I can set you up straight away.

    Have a good weekend

Hi Eddie, first meeting, venue was excellent, if I could improve anything on the venue it would be to raise the "stage" a little as I found myself leaning to look around the person in front, although in light of the mishap this might have been hazardous.

Thanks Alex, ok I'll see what we can do perhaps to rearrange the seating, it is a very 'tech' space so not custom but I'm sure we can find a solution

Good kick-off meeting but maybe would have been good to frame the different debates

Thanks Dylan this was really just a general introduction to test interest in this area, our next events will address specific areas such as GI/Protection etc... and allow you all to drill down into your chosen areas
