Hi Everyone,

Our November monthly FinTech Seminar will focus on Opportunities in Insurance Technology. This will be our inaugural Insurance FinTech event; we plan to follow up with a roundtable event in late January to bring Insurers and Entrepreneurs together in a morning workshop session to explore the opportunities further.

Consumer and Investment Banking are currently the main focus of Entrepreneurial attention and subsequently a rich eco-system is building up around Innovating in these areas. However Insurance is also a prime market for Innovation, the protection, investment and pensions gaps in the UK population alone are in the £trillions (seriously). Much of the technology being applied to Banking will translate to Insurance; and Cloud, Big Data and Analytics are likely to change the face of Insurance forever. This seminar will explore the latest themes and developments, the key players and their offerings.

Here's a recent and very interesting Global Insurance Digital Survey by EY, well worth reading before the Seminar (http://www.ey.com/Publication/vwLUAssets/EY_Insurance_in_a_digital_world:_The_time_is_now/$FILE/EY-Digital-Survey-1-October.pdf)

The session includes a FREE Guide to Insurance Technology which digs deeper into the main players and identifies opportunities for FinTech Entrepreneurs. All of our FREE seminar guides are available to download here (http://www.london.newfinance.org/files/).

We'll be videoing the session as usual for those of you who are unable to attend. You may click here to watch the videos (https://www.meetup.com/newfinance/about/) from our previous seminars and here to see the photos. (https://www.meetup.com/newfinance/photos/)
