Thought you might find this of interest.  Some fun and unusual free tasting opportunities at The Wine Shop Dilworth (same shopping center where Fiamma--the old Rheinland House--is) for tomorrow and Saturday.  If you want to join The Wine Shop Dilworth's mailing list you can visit their web site http://www.thewineshops.net/.
Happy tasting!

Dear Scott,

The Wine Shop Dilworth is the first wine shop in Charlotte to install the Wine Station self serve tasting machines from Napa Technology. We will now feature 12 wines on tap for sampling any time during our business hours. The Wine Station machines are based on smart card technology whereby you can purchase credits to be loaded on a reusable smart card. You simply insert the card into the machine and select what you wish to sample and in what quantity. The wines are all preserved under a blanket of argon gas at the appropriate temprature to ensure that the last taste is just as fresh as the first.

While the WineStation represents a substantial investment for The Wine Shop, it illustrates our commitment to be innovative in our presentation of wine to the consumer, while maintaining the best selection and prices for the Charlotte wine enthusiast. We're confident it will completely change the way you shop for wine at The Wine Shop. Gone are the days when you have to show up for designated wine tastings at specific times in order to sample wines. You are now free to explore on your own time and at your own pace anytime during our business hours. The selection will be rotated frequently, so that there will always be new wines for you to try before you buy.

We will have our official unveiling of the new Wine Stations this Friday, May 14th and Saturday, May 15th.

There will be no charge for wine sampling on these two days, so we can get everyone familiar with how the machines work.

As a bonus we will have a couple of bottles of the fabulous 2007 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon($73.99) open to sample from 5-7 p.m on Friday. It will be first come, first serve, until they are gone. On Saturday we will be featuring two bottles of the equally fabulous 2007 Pride Cabernet Sauvignon($79.99) from 10 to 6, first come, first serve, until they are gone.

Don't miss out on the start of a grand new chapter at The Wine Shop Dilworth!

The Wine ShopAs always, thank you for your business!
