We all know how powerful AngularJS is for creating data-backed, enterprise level applications very quickly, but did you know that Angular can be used to back image-intensive, graphic design applications as well?
Enter Carlos Paelinck, a software developer and designer specializing in iOS, OS X and web apps. Currently the iOS developer team lead for a bespoke offers mobile application for BarclaycardUK.
Carlos will be presenting Publications, an AngularJS web app for vector-based screen and print design. He will share his experiences converting this application from a BackboneJS application and the benefits he gained by using Angular's two way data binding and directives to eliminate paragraphs of codez.
There will also be a shorter presentation by yours truly on using Angular Providers and Factories to wrap the $resource service to give your application's data access an easily repeatable api that is specific to your company's/client's needs.
We will also be unveiling (hopefully) our new website and topic suggestion/voting system. You won't want to miss this.
Snacks will be provided by TDAmeritrade and your first beer is on Object Partners! Doors open at 6:30 and presentations begin at 7pm.
