Cordova is a framework that allows developers to use their Javascript, HTML and CSS skills to build cross platform mobile apps. While it is easy to get started, there are some common pitfalls to avoid and best practices to follow if you want to build a quality real world application. With several years experience building enterprise apps with Cordova/PhoneGap, Ryan will share some practical advice and lessons learned along the way.

Presenter: Ryan Carroll, Principal Software Engineer at Meltwater

Bio: Ryan has been using JavaScript, HTML and CSS to build enterprise web applications for 15 years. He has a strong background in UI architecture and interaction design and loves learning about new web technologies and frameworks. He is currently a Principal Software Engineer at Meltwater working as part of the applications engineering team. Ryan lives in Portsmouth with his wife and 2 kids and when he isn’t spending time with his family, he enjoys playing soccer and embarrassing himself on the golf course.
