Salsa / Latin Beginning Dance Lessons 3 of 6 week Workshop

Salsa / Latin Dance Lessons

Price $15 per person, no partner needed.   2 Hours Lessons

This class will also build on the foundations of Salsa that can also carry into the elements of many other Latin social dances. We will be learning the basics of footwork, lead and follow, timing, and blending the patterns together so that you can start to feel comfortable on the dance floor.

In this class the focus will be primarily on Salsa but we will also be sampling the other popular dances within the Latin social dance world and will be learning the similarities and differences between the timing change of music, body motion and patterns of Merengue, ChaCha, Cumbia and Bachata.

SHIFT has always been unique Supportive environment. We learn the dances together with social time afterwards (optional)   Shift Social Dance Classes

Optional: Afterwards we go 1 block away to NE Social Club for food and beverages.   (Beer, wine only)

We also have a public dance outing together to show off our stuff.

No previous dancing required.  This is a great refresher for beginners or intermediate.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
