"Turf Bar is one of the city's larger and more popular watering holes. Located at the corner of Queen & Bourke many would remember it as the old 'Matildas' but its history goes back to 1976 when the Great Bookie Robbery happened there. Today the venue offers a Victorian style fit out, pub style dining, and stacks of beers on the menu (nearly a dozen on tap alone)"
