the LA Japanese Language and Culture Meetup [nihonLA] Pages

Yokoso! Welcome to the Los Angeles Japanese Language and Culture Meetup Group.

We are a group of people that share a common love for the Japanese Language and Culture. Join us to practice both English and Japanese, but most importantly meet new friends and have fun. We have study groups in West LA, Mid-Wilshire, Pasadena, and Torrance. We try to keep a balance between study and social activities, though our study groups tend to be pretty social and fun.

When you get a chance please read "Email and Communication Etiquette Reminder" on the Message Board. http://japanese.meetu...

Please note this is NOT a dating meetup. Be respective of and courteous to our members. Tanomu.

Let me know if you have any events you would like to see or add to the calendar.

If you would like to join the group, please answer all the profile questions. A nice intro and short answers to the rest of the questions will usually get you into the group.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu.

Note regarding RSVPs: Please RSVP "Yes" to special events only if you can definitely attend. If you do need to cancel for any reason, try to do so a couple of days before the event, so other people can make plans to attend in your place. A special event is any meetup with limited spots that does not allow the "Maybe" option.

Note regarding Suggested Donation: Donations are entirely voluntary. If you just want to join the group to check out local events, don't worry about the fee. If you start attending meetups on a regular basis and wish to contribute to help pay for meetup fees and misc. expenses, feel free to donate some money. :-) I made the fee a suggested donation, because it is more important to me that people get together and have fun.
