How long have you been studying Japanese? What got you interested?

I studied Japanese throughout college (at Georgia Tech), and did a 2-month study abroad trip to Fukuoka in 2004, but since graduating I haven't had many opportunities to keep it up.

What is your current level? (beginner, intermediate, advanced, fluent)

Probably intermediate?

What would you like to work on the most in this group? (reading comprehension, Listening comprehension, writing, or speaking)

Probably listening and reading comprehension... since reading/writing I should be able to work on on my own.

What resources do you use/suggest for Japanese learning? (books, websites, etc.)

Have been trying to learn writing the kanji using Heisig's Remembering the Kanji... there's a great study tool companion for it at http://kanji.koohii.com.

What goal would you like to reach in your Japanese studies 6-12 months from now?

Would like to increase my vocabulary and get closer to conversational fluency. Also want to finish learning the writing of the kanji and move on to the next RTK volume to learn the readings.

Introduction

Hey sup, I'm Branden. Hoping to meet up and find some study buddies for improving my Japanese.
