Glimpse: Ultimate Web Diagnostics

As web developers we've got some pretty nice development and debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Developer Tab on the client; Visual Studio on the server; and Fiddler for everything in-between.  But, what do you do when your site goes to production and users start reporting issues?  It's time to add another tool to your arsenal to fill this gap: Glimpse.

Glimpse is a web diagnostics tool that tracks the entire request from client to server and back again, keeping tabs of metrics along the way to show you exactly what is happening over the course of a web request.  Is it really your controller action that is holding everything up, or perhaps there is some inefficiency in your custom model binder or routing.  AJAX requests in particular are pretty obnoxious to debug...  Glimpse will give you exactly the information you need in order to figure it all out.

In this talk, I'll show you what Glimpse is, how it integrates into your web applications, just how much you get right out of the box, and how to easily extend it in the rare chance that it doesn't meet your needs..
